Halloween

October 31 is Halloween!!! This festival is popular all over the world. I will tell you Halloween festival.
At first, why is called Halloween? November 1 is “All Saints' Day (Hallowmas)”. So, October 31 is the eve of that day=All Hallow Eve. Then it is called Halloween. Originally, this festival is a religion behavior of Celtic about 2,000 years ago. People believed that people who died come to life in this day.
Speaking of Halloween, Dressing up, Trick or Treat, Pumpkin!!! First is dressing up. Ancient people believed that dead people come back to life. So they get children to dress up and intend to drive off them. Second is “Trick or Treat”. People prepared treat as an offering to calm down ghosts. However, children wanted to get treat. So they began to say this word as a trick. Last is pumpkin. People make Jack-o-Lantern. It is the lantern of pumpkin. This is also for driving off ghosts.
Now, Halloween party is held all over the world. Children and adults enjoy this festival. In Portugal, this is starting to be a custom, and is already celebrated in many night places like bars and clubs.

But the Portuguese tradition is also kept. Children do not go to play trick or treat but they go ask for some traditional Portuguese cake called “merendeira” or some sweats and chocolates. The “merendeira” is a tipical little cake made especially from this time on until Christmas.

Eyeglasses from ZenniOptical

I have a sightseeing problem since I was 16 years old and I started using prescription eyeglasses. With years going by it’s getting worse from year to year. First I used eyeglasses only when I was in class or, sometimes, to watch TV but has my problem got worse I felt the need to wear them every day. By my 19 years old, when I was in university, I’ve decided that I did not like others to see me with eyeglasses and I asked my ophthalmologist to try contact lenses. So I did and I really like the feeling of not having to wear my old glasses every day. Eventually came the time when I couldn’t bear having eye contact lenses all day long and I had to start using once in a while eyeglasses. By that time, and as you know, eyeglasses started to be a fashion item too and therefore I was not embarrassed of having a fashionable eyeglasses. Now sometimes I wear contact lenses and other eyeglasses, depending on the occasion and on the mood, but my eyeglasses are becoming old fashion and I want to change them, so I did a little research and I found an amazing site, zennioptical.com, with eyeglasses for all tastes and really cheaper. You just need to take a look. I was amazed when I bump into that site. Not only you can find a good quality price relation but also you can find the ultimate fashion and style.
At Zenni Optical you can also find online a variety of lens types, like progressive or bifocal, at prices never seen, from 8$ you can have the eyeglasses model you always dreamed of.
They are so amazing that they even are news in the Chicago Tribune.
See with your one eyes!

A Lifetime Story

There are stories that last for a lifetime and worth a lot knowing.I found a site that seemed interesting to me because they have some conferences with bible stories that worth knowing, if you want you can Find out more about these conferences that seems very interesting.I am Catholic and when I was a child I attended church all Sundays. There I heard some bible stories that at the time didn’t mean anything but today I know they have a meaning and they contain a life lesson. Some of these stories are similar to those happening in real life. My favorite bible story It’s about Ruth and I would like to share it with you. It’s a love story written in the Old Testament. Ruth is left a widow at a young age and she has to deal with that at her own way. Instead of going to live with her parents she decides to stay living with her mother in law, Naomi and returns with her to Judah, where she now becomes an alien in a foreign country. She treated her mother-in-law as her very own and loved her. She wished to help, support and care for her mother-in-law, who in spite of losing her husband and both her sons, was a kind and selfless lady. She gave the choice to her daughters-in-law to go to their parents’ house. Ruth could have readily accepted this offer and lived comfortably in her parents’ house. But she chose to go along with her mother-in-law to an unknown land. This reflects on her kind and compassionate nature. Her kindness was richly rewarded. This is one I really like because it tells us about love, loyalty and compassion, feelings that are rare in our days but sometimes reflect modern day stories. If you wish to Find out more about Bible stories and Theatre Church when CineMeetings & Events brings the first-ever Theatre Church Conference in Silver Spring, MD on October 22 & 23.

Earn Money in the Internet

Start earning money to surf using our Surf Junky browser. Your statistics are updated in real time and you get paid every month!
Surf Junky: a very new revolution and super-competitive compared to other similar sites. The time you spend on the internet is paid you 0.50 U.S. dollars per hour. You just need to have an open window (which do not bother at all) and visit and click once an hour. Try to think about on how many hours you spend on the net a year and multiply by 0.5$...
It’s not much but it’s a help. In three days I made 7.5$, and most of the time I spend those 3 days without having paid post.
Give it a try!

Discover Dubai

I’ve always been fond of Dubai, not that I ever been there but because I always heard great things about the country and I’ve seen TV news and reports about how beautiful it is all that. Nowadays people are looking more and more for distinguished places to travel and to visit and for those who have the money Dubai it’s it. Lots of wealth, lots of sea, sun, and sand, lots of entertainment and different activities and for that reason people are traveling more and more to Dubai. Imagine that they’ve even built a city with snow. Under those high temperatures that built a Mountain under some iron looking like a sky resort with all activities regarding snow. I Like Dubai and maybe one day I can afford visiting it.
